Open Format was established in NYC in 2019 by a city kid who loves art, culture and history. After years of honing my skills at RISD, working in the studio hand crafting many many custom pieces, I decided to follow my passion and start making my own design. Open Format was born from the idea of making high end jewelry approachable by everyone in the community. We love the texture and beauty of the raw material (gold, silver, diamond, you name it!) and everyone should be able to own their favorite piece. We were born in Union Square, where the most vibrant communities meet and share art. Today, our studio still located behind a simple steel door on the 7th floor of the plaza.
