Athena Silversmith is an online jewelry boutique that offers handcrafted, sterling silver jewelry. Designer Claudio López was born in México City. López studied architecture at the University of México and anthropology at the National Institute of Anthropology, both in Mexico City. He studied painting with Texas painter Sylvia Orozco. His works include abstract and neorealism paintings. López began jewelry making in 2010, choosing silver and natural stones as his media and palette. He graduated from the Jewelry Department at Austin Community College. López was named Emerging Texas Artist at the 2013 Texas State Arts & Crafts Fair in Kerrville,Texas. His philosophy is to make beautiful handmade jewelry wih singular designs that last.
